Sep. 10th, 2007 02:47 pmToday when I got to work my Monday morning coworker (a woman over twice my age who normally treats me like a small child playing dress-up) said to me:
"Did you watch that new scifi show? On BBC America? It looked really good!"
And I replied:
"You mean Torchwood?"
And she said:
"Yes! Did you see it?"
And I said:
"No, I don't get BBC America."
And while I know that I could get any given episode of the show without much trouble (and no, I still haven't seen it) I will never ever admit to her that I have. Because when I do break down and watch it I know it will be a fannish obsession sort of thing. And the last thing I want is to mix my work with my fannish obsessions.
HP comes too close as it is. Thank goodness no one else at work watched Highlander.

Date: 2007-09-10 07:17 pm (UTC)I will watch eventually. I just need to get past the "Everyone's talking about it and hyping it - HIDE!" instinct.
